Our client, a consulting firm in Southern New Jersey, is comprised of professionals with various backgrounds, whose combined expertise includes accounting, finance, banking, economics, management, and accounting software. They are highly focused on business education, analysis, and advisory services which truly help business owners improve their financial performance and, in turn, contribute positively to the local and regional economy.

 

They are looking to hire an Associate/Senior Fiscal Management Consultant who has experience in supporting small to medium-sized businesses with operational finances. The goal is to assist in providing strategic fiscal guidance to our clients, helping them navigate financial challenges and achieve their business goals. Other duties include managing project engagements along with ensuring timely and successful delivery of services.

 

In Office M-F

Salary $80-$100K (this includes base plus bonus)

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

•       Assist in providing fiscal management advice to small and medium-sized businesses.

•       Support the analysis of financial results and underlying data to identify opportunities for profitability growth.

•       Work with clients to improve the accuracy of their accounting and optimize their financial reporting and close process.

•       Perform financial reviews to assist with profitability consulting and verify reported financials for compliance related procedures (tax planning and tax returns)

•       Collaborate with principal (or lead) consultants to develop customized financial solutions that align with clients' business objectives.

•       Work with client staff to assist in implementation of improved financial processes and strategies to optimize business performance.

•       Manage project engagements from inception to completion, including defining project scope, setting timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring deliverables are met.

•       Communicate project progress and outcomes to clients and internal stakeholders.

•       Keep up to date with industry trends and regulations to help ensure clients receive relevant and effective financial guidance.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

•       Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

•       Proven experience in an accounting/financial role (Accounting Manger, FP&A, Audit/Tax)

•       Demonstrated experience in managing project engagements including, planning, execution and reporting

•       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•       Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
