What’s a typical day as a CNC Programmer and Operator? You’ll be:
• Creating medium to high complexity CNC programs using three+ axis CAM software.
• Storing and maintaining programs with Living History.
• Providing CAM support, downloading programs to CNC controls, and making initial set up.
• Optimizing programs for speed and quality.
• Diagnosing, analyzing, and troubleshooting programs.
• Creating wire or surface geometry using CAD software.
• Reviewing 3D CAD design blueprints.
• Writing programs and modifying existing ones for increased efficiency.
• Monitoring all programs to ensure they follow blueprint instructions and complete tasks successfully.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have an AAS in Mechanical technologies or equivalent and demonstrated ability to program and machine complex geometries.
• Have four (4) years of CNC programming experience (desirable).
• Have superior computer programming skills.
• Have excellent reading comprehension skills.
• Possess good math skills, especially in algebra, trigonometry, and physics.
• Have good problem-solving skills.
• Have excellent time management, organizational, and planning skills.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Are mechanically inclined.
• Have knowledge of metal shop work.
• Are highly detail-oriented.
• Can work effectively with little or no supervision.
• Have the ability to read blueprints.
• Possess knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment.
