For over 75 years, Affy Tapple, the creator of the original caramel apple, has been a manufacturer of tasty caramel apples and treats for the Chicagoland Area. In addition to grocery store caramel apples, Affy Tapple offers a gourmet line of caramel and chocolate apples and confections under the Mrs Prindables name, as seen in department stores and home shopping networks.

Our Affy Tapple team has an opening for a friendly and reliable Store Clerk to join our team. As a Store Clerk, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and contributing to the overall success of our store. This position requires a strong passion for retail sales and a commitment to meeting the needs of our customers. If you have a knack for sales, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to learn, then we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Duties

- Greet customers, answer questions, and provide product recommendations to drive sales.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Operate a cash register, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to customers, increasing sales and improving customer satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockrooms, and customer service areas.
- Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and inviting shopping experience.

Experience

- Previous experience in a retail sales environment is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic math skills and experience with cash handling.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.

Skills

- Basic math skills and experience with cash handling.
- Proficiency in retail sales and customer service.
- Ability to stock merchandise and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Experience with cash registers and the ability to accurately handle cash and credit transactions.

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide exceptional service to our customers.

 

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
