About Us:

J2T is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, and adhering to deadlines.

Job Summary:

As a payroll specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payroll and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes and tax regulations and possess excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process weekly/bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  2. Review and verify time and attendance records for accuracy.
  3. Calculate and process wage garnishments, benefits, and other deductions.
  4. Prepare and submit payroll tax filings in a timely manner.
  5. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and tax-related matters.
  6. Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee data and resolve discrepancies.
  7. Generate reports and provide analysis related to payroll data as needed.
  8. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll software/system upgrades.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
  2. Manufacturing or construction industry experience
  3. Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax laws, and regulations.
  4. Proficient in using payroll software and Excel.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
