Hello We are looking for a Aerial Fiber Crew to join our team

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, splicing, termination, and testing of fiber optic cables in various environments including aerial, underground, and indoor settings.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute network expansion projects
  • Operate specialized tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including fusion splicers, OTDRs, and power meters.
  • Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company policies to maintain the integrity and reliability of network infrastructure.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving service disruptions, and communicating effectively with customers during installations and repairs.
  • Document work activities, including network configurations, splicing records, and service tickets accurately and comprehensively.
  • Participate in training programs and stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in fiber optics and telecommunications.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in telecommunications, fiber optics, or related fields preferred.
  • Prior experience in fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment associated with fiber optic and telecommunications installations.
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic cable types, connectors, and termination techniques.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and customers.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting telephone, internet, and fiber optic systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, climb poles or ladders, and lift heavy equipment.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with other technicians and support teams.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency repair situations.
  • Driving License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be willing to travel as needed to meet customer needs.
