JOB SUMMARY:

The manufacture of temperature thermometers and pressure gauges requires the preparation of customized dials and labels to meet the specific needs of customer projects. The CAD Technician will focus on providing the Production groups with all of the necessary digital files needed for them to complete the order. In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting with various projects within the Manufacturing & Engineering departments as time permits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Digital Dial Design:

  • Create and customize dials using AutoCAD and maintain the digital dial database, ensuring precise and tailored instrument displays.

Engineering Support:

  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering Team to create or revise CAD drawings in alignment with project requirements.

  • Provide support on engineering projects as needed.

Production Assistance:

  • Assist production teams by facilitating dial printing processes when required, ensuring a smooth workflow.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in Computer Drafting and Design or equivalent experience.

  • Proficiency in 2D Drafting, with a preference for Autodesk AutoCAD experience.

  • Familiarity with 3D Modeling, particularly Autodesk Inventor.

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office tools.

  • A solid understanding of geometry and algebra.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Well-organized and able to manage multiple projects efficiently.

  • Quick learner with the desire and curiosity to learn new skills.

  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude, and dedication to the role.

  • Dependable, with a strong work ethic.

  • Proficient at working both within a team or with minimal supervision, maintaining high productivity.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledgeable of ASME Y14.5 GD&T Standard, enhancing engineering design and precision.

  • Familiarity with the Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator to further support digital design.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is effective at managing shifting priorities.
