Job DescriptionJob Description

A well-respected engineering firm specializing in Structural and Civil Engineering is seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer with a strong background in concrete, steel, masonry, and wood framing to join their firm in Wisconsin.

 

As a Structural Engineer, your key responsibilities include collaborating with architects, performing structural analysis, selecting materials, creating construction drawings, and providing technical support throughout the construction process. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills and proficiency in structural engineering software.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop and refine structural designs.

·        Analyze loads, forces, and stresses to ensure building stability and safety.

·        Select appropriate building materials and construction methods.

·        Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications.

·        Perform structural calculations using industry-standard software.

·        Review and approve shop drawings from fabricators and contractors.

·        Provide technical expertise throughout the construction process.

 

Education and Experience:

·        Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant Engineering field from an ABET-accredited school preferred, Civil, or related field of study.

·        Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' of job-related experience.

·        Licensure/Certification: PE, SE, or other relevant licenses within the discipline are strongly preferred.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·        5+ years of experience in structural engineering design.

·        Proven experience with cast-in-place concrete, post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood framing.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

·        Proficiency in structural engineering software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, RISA, ETABS).
