Job Summary:

Lead and work with a team of two to four, managing various landscape projects. Maintain workflow and finish projects that align with design standards and are completed within the allotted time frame. The landscape crew performs tasks including bed edging, mulching, landscape bed clean up, complete landscape installations, lawn installations, landscape lighting and much more. 

*THIS POSITON PAYS YEAR ROUND FOR A MINIMUM OF 40 HOURS FOR THOSE COMMITTED TO THE SNOW REMOVAL AND ICE TREATMENT TEAM.*

During January and February when field work is slow, there will be times when you are only required to work 20 hours and receive a full week's pay. Tasks during this time include equipment and tool clean up, reorganization of work spaces and trailers, and minor tool repair. We maintain a greenhouse space and also do seed planting, propagation, and specimen maintenance. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Valid Indiana driver’s license with a clean record 

  • High school diploma, GED, HSE, or equivalent

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Equipment and tool experience

  • Proficiency with written reporting

  • Time management skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Effective communication skills 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of verifiable landscaping experience including install/hardscaping

  • Experience managing others

  • Knowledge of plant material and common weeds

**We are willing to train the right candidate who may not meet all preferred qualifications.
