Position Title: Therapeutic Medical Physicist

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $150,000 per year

Overview:

Muscogee Staffing Solutions, LLC is seeking highly qualified Therapeutic Medical Physicists to join our team at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, CA. The ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in radiation oncology, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee radiation therapy treatments to ensure accurate dose delivery.
• Maintain and calibrate radiation therapy equipment.
• Conduct regular quality assurance (QA) tests on all equipment.
• Participate in treatment planning meetings with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Dosimetrists.
• Manage the Radiation Therapy Service Equipment Quality Control Program.
• Develop, oversee, and analyze technician quality control testing.
• Perform dosimetry inter-comparison and equipment evaluation.
• Provide expert guidance for the procurement and acceptance testing of new technologies.
• Support and manage multiple computer systems related to radiation therapy.
• Enter therapy and radioisotope data and certify computer output.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related field.
• Board Certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics (ABR, ABMP, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical radiation oncology setting.
• Proficiency in the use and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
