Your New Role:

Responsibilities:

· Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements according to diagrams, sketches, manuals, and specifications.

· Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in action, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.

· Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime and make timely repairs to meet production demands.

· Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities for all plant equipment.

· Facilitate communication among work teams by documenting actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.

· Minimize downtime by instructing production workers in routine preventive maintenance techniques and ensuring compliance.

· Implement and adhere to a structured preventive maintenance (P.M.) schedule for assigned equipment.

· Assist in equipment rebuilding projects and engineering initiatives.

· Execute equipment changeovers promptly as dictated by production schedules.

· Aid operators in equipment setup to ensure proper functionality.

· Adhere strictly to workplace safety practices and environmental regulations.

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

· Assist in general facility maintenance tasks.

· Adapt quickly to changing priorities and challenging conditions.

Qualifications / Other Requirements:

· High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Proficiency in working independently and collaboratively within a team.

· Must provide own hand tools necessary for job responsibilities.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

· Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed.

· Proficient in verbal communication in person and over the telephone.

· Basic computer skills; ability to multitask effectively.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

· Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and hydraulics.

· Knowledge of HVAC, boilers, and air compressors is advantageous.

· Ability to read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical schematics.

· Experience in troubleshooting control circuits and wiring 480-volt motors and equipment.

· Familiarity with PLCs, drives, and related hardware troubleshooting.

· Welding and metal fabrication skills are a plus.

· Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous physical tasks including climbing and lifting.
