Limited Radiologic Technician/X-Ray Tech

Primary Responsibilities:
- Practice within the scope of licensure; comply with federal and state legal and professional requirements.
- Prepare patients for exam by greeting the patient by his/her first and last name, obtaining patient history information necessary to perform or evaluate the procedure, and providing instructions and explanation of the procedure to obtain the best possible image.
- Follow approved radiologist protocols and imaging parameters while delivering quality patient care and ensuring safety.
- Prepare and position patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Practice radiation protection.
- Help to maintain equipment and keep work area clean.
- Maintain license and continuing education in accordance with State, Federal, and Regulatory agencies’ rules and regulations.
- Participate in community functions as related to Medical Imaging Department.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a current Limited License/ Permit in X-Ray Technology from the State of CA, Department of Health Services.
- Must have a current California Driver’s License.
- BLS through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers Certification.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Understanding of human anatomy, human physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
- Independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative.
- Energetic, positive and flexible.
- Manages multiple tasks in a timely manner with a sense of urgency and follow through.
- Works well in a fast-paced, pressure-oriented environment.
- Forms strong working relationships within the team.
- Identifies additional tasks to be completed and willingly assists others.
