Job Description 

  • Setting up the machine: Following blueprints to set up the lathe and ensuring it's aligned correctly
  • Writing programs: Creating CNC programs from blueprints and testing them
  • Selecting tools: Choosing the right cutting tools, attachments, and materials for the job
  • Operating the machine: Rotating the workpiece while the cutting tool moves along the material to create the desired shape
  • Making adjustments: Inspecting materials for defects and making any necessary adjustments to the machine or program
  • Ensuring quality: Conducting quality assurance checks and meeting production schedules
  • Following safety regulations: Maintaining a safe working environment
