This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and will be a vital member of a team of four financial professionals.
 

Staff Accountant Responsibilities
  • Financial Closing & Reporting: Execute accurate and timely month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports. Ensure punctual monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
  • Routine Accounting: Collaborate with a team on daily accounting activities, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) management, reconciliations, internal audits, payroll, chargebacks, tax filings, forecasting, tax planning, and ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Budgeting & Performance: Partner with management to draft budgets and monitor performance against benchmarks. Present detailed financial analyses to drive business results.
  • Process Improvement: Advocate for best practices in accounting methods and policies. Recommend and implement departmental enhancements for increased efficiency. Collaborate with management to formalize these changes into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparations, ensuring strict adherence to all relevant payment and reporting requirements.
  • Customer Relations: Address and resolve invoicing or collection-related concerns with customers.

Staff Accountant Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or similar qualification is advantageous.
  • 2+ years of professional accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in SAP is preferred, but not required.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin is a strong advantage to help liaise with our office in China (bot not required).
  • Acute attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
