The senior accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation, and other general accounting functions. The responsibilities include but not limited to:
Accounting
- Onboarding new accounting clients and working with existing clients
- Review monthly account reconciliations and expense categorizations
- Review/prepare journal entries
- Review/prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Perform other duties as may be requested
Tax
- Review/Prepare business, and individual tax returns
- Research, resolve, and respond to tax notices
- Research and document tax positions
- Perform other duties as may be requested

- 3-4 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
- QuickBooks Online Certified
- Experience with Proconnect
- Must be proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and exercise independent/sound judgment
- Must be personable and comfortable communicating with business owners
Experience level:
- 3-4 years working in a small accounting firm
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred
Experience:
- QuickBooks Online: 3 years (Required)
- Professional Accounting: 3 years (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Destin/Ft Walton, FL: Relocate before starting work (Required)
