Job DescriptionJob Description

1.Reports to work on scheduled days at scheduled time
2.Adheres to dress code.
3.Punches clock in full uniform, NO earlier than 6 minutes before scheduled shift.
4.Reviews production sheets, and daily menu to determine type and quantity of food item to be prepared.
5.Follows recipes, menu specifications, and/or product directions for preparing food products, including measuring, portioning, and finishing.
6.Sets-up, cleans, and breaks down work area.
7.Uses proper chemical agents for cleaning.
8.Uses proper sanitizing agents for sanitation.
9.Checks and controls seasoning and appearance of food.
10.Follow recipes and /or product directions for preparing any food items necessary for the pantry kitchen
11.Decorates and garnishes all prepared food.
12.Tests food during preparation, and when food is finished, by tasting, smelling, visual presentation, and checking temperatures to determine the product is at it’s final stage and acceptable to consume.
13.Makes necessary food to order.

14.Properly stores all food product, in designated storage areas, at proper temperature labeled, date, times, and initial for proper rotation
15.Adheres to safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
16.Cleans, maintain tools, equipment, and work station (including floors and coolers).
17.Cleans, maintains common areas of kitchen, back of the house, front of the house
18.Properly utilizes leftovers and reworks items to be acceptable for serving.
19.Reports maintenance deficiencies.
20.Deep cleans equipment as needed or requested.
21.Performs additional duties, other department as assigned by Management.
22.Informs supervisor of food quantities which maybe short of specified productions amounts, and informs deficiencies in product quality and quantity, or variation in the method of preparation.
23.Properly maintains equipment--breakdown, assembly, cleaning, and sanitizing. Uses equipment properly, using the appropriate tool for the task at hand, including knifes, blades, mixer, slicer, grinder, etc.

Requirements:

This position requires at least 6 months of experience in the pantry, salad prep, restaurant, or food service environment. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions. Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
