Kitchen Utility Worker
Pay: $12.60 / hour
Hours: 11 am - 7:30 pm full time
We are looking for kitchen/cafeteria utility staff to join our team You will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen environment. Your responsibilities will primarily revolve around ensuring the kitchen area is clean, sanitized, and organized, thereby supporting the overall operations of our clients in the hospitality industry. You will be asked to perform various duties including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitization:
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, countertops, and floors.
Supporting Kitchen Operations:
Dispose of trash and recycling materials appropriately.
Maintain inventory and stock rotation of supplies.
Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:
Follow proper sanitation procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Handle and store cleaning products properly.
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate channels.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen/cafeteria utility or similar role preferred but not required.
Knowledge of proper sanitation methods and familiarity with cleaning materials and equipment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness.
Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as trays and kitchen equipment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
