Welcome to Aberdeen Machine Tool
We are currently seeking a talented and skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Aberdeen, SD. As a CNC Machinist at Aberdeen Machine Tool, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, utilizing your expertise in computer numerical control (CNC) machining to produce high-quality components for our machines.
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machine tools to fabricate precise parts that meet the specifications outlined in engineering drawings.
Hours are 6am to 3:30pm M-T and 6am-10am Friday.
Benefits include paid time off and paid health insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations.
- Study and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Select the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials needed for each job.
- Operate and adjust machine controls to regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and implement best practices.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, operating various CNC machines.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
- Ability to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines and related tools.
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot CNC machine issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
