Shift: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with rotating Saturdays

Pay: $18 - $20 per hour, based on experience

Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Barista at our Medical Device Company café We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for coffee and exceptional customer service skills to create a welcoming and high-quality café experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage products, including ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Customer Service: Engage with guests using clear, enthusiastic communication and body language. Provide personalized recommendations and create a welcoming environment.
  • Sales Support: Highlight café items and suggest pairings based on customer preferences.
  • Integrity: Act with honesty and professionalism at all times.
  • Transaction Management: Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Training: Assist in training new team members by positively reinforcing standards and offering respectful, encouraging feedback.
  • Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Espresso Machine Calibration: Regularly calibrate and maintain espresso machines.
  • Attendance: Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Customer Focus: Consistent positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Communication: Strong, clear communication skills.
  • Dependability: Thorough, dependable, and organized.
  • Service Enthusiasm: Genuine enthusiasm for service and ability to manage stress effectively.

  • Experience: Minimum one year of specialty coffee experience.
  • Certification: Valid Food Handler’s card or ServSafe certification required.
