Job description of job role: Facility Maintenance Coordinator – Monday-Friday – 7:00am – 3:00pm
To assist in providing safe and comfortable working environment for the occupants and visitors of the Homewood Campus. The position requires efficient time management skills, attention to detail and professional follow through. This position requires the ability to coordinate weekly scheduling and planning of work/projects as well as manage the day-to-day building requests and operations. Must be able to work independently with a leadership mentality.


Major Responsibilities:
• Preventative Maintenance
• Complete daily building and grounds inspection to ensure that the facilities and grounds are in good condition. Inspection will include an action plan with a timeline for outstanding items that need to be addressed from the walkthrough.
• Complete daily maintenance of bean to cup machines and ensure appropriate supplies are available.
• Coordinate, schedule and meet with contractors scheduled for repairs and routine maintenance.
• Ensure work is completed on time, safely and meet quality standards.
• Corrective Maintenance
• Respond to routine corrective maintenance request work orders and follow through with the requestor on eta for completion.
• Must be responsive to urgent maintenance calls and available to participate in emergency preparedness plans.

 

Competencies
• Must be able to communication effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must have knowledge in basic building repair and maintenance. This includes basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and HVAC.
• Supervise contractors on the premises of the facilities to ensure work is completed professionally and in a timely manner.
• Skills/Functional Knowledge:
• The minimum specific skills and/or knowledge required to perform the job:
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and to respond to common inquires or concerns from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, memos and the ability to seek assistance when required in order to complete tasks.
• Must be agile, resourceful and solution driven.
• Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders and ability to lift and carry heavy loads up to 50lbs.

 

Education /Certification/Experience:
• The minimum education, certification and/or experience required to perform the Job:
• High School Diploma, Professional studies or any other relevant practical experience related to facility management with a minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar position.
• Have a valid driver license.
