Hearing Aid Dispenser

ZimZee Recruiting is seeking a highly motivated and patient-centric Hearing Aid Dispenser to join our client’s hearing healthcare team. Our client would prefer an Audiologist, but this is not required. The Hearing Aid Dispenser will be responsible for assessing patients' hearing needs, recommending and fitting appropriate hearing aids, and providing ongoing support and care to ensure optimal hearing outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Hearing Aid Dispenser and completed coursework/program approved by the state.
- Valid state licensure as a Hearing Aid Dispenser
- Experience conducting hearing assessments and tests to determine patients' hearing loss and hearing aid requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in the use of hearing aid programming software and equipment
- Knowledge of hearing aid styles, technologies, and manufacturers
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret audiograms and other diagnostic test results to make appropriate hearing aid recommendations
- Educate patients about various types of hearing aids, their features, and benefits
- Take ear impressions and measurements to ensure proper hearing aid fit and comfort
- Program, fit, and adjust hearing aids according to patients' specific needs and preferences
- Provide instruction and guidance to patients on the proper use, care, and maintenance of their hearing aids
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Follow up with patients regularly to assess their satisfaction and progress with their hearing aids
- Collaborate with audiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive hearing care
