Access Control Helper

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Access Control Lead to learn the Access Control trade, including scheduling, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing automatic gates/access control devices.
  • Assist in the installation of access control equipment.
  • Acquire knowledge in low voltage controls, basic construction techniques, and job site planning.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of equipment and tools related to the job.
  • Adhere to compliance standards, procedures, safety, and regulatory expectations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Desire to learn, positive attitude, and willingness to assist.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Welding and electrical experience are advantageous.
  • Experience with installing slide gates and swing gates is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Regular exposure to all types of weather.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Safely walk and stand for extended periods.
