Job DescriptionJob Description

GL Staffing is hiring a Buyer/Planner for a great company located in Broward County, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, purchasing, inventory control, supply chain, logistics and will possess strong attention to detail.

Salary: $60K-$65K yearly depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM
Must be able to pass a Drug Test and Background Check

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchase orders for the materials required by the company.
  • Daily follow up with pending orders using various computer tracking systems.
  • Follows up with vendors to ensure deadlines for delivery are met.
  • Evaluates and monitors contracts, delivery, and invoices to ensure that goods, services and delivery schedules comply with the purchase order terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Cost Analysis and Negotiation. Analyze costs and pricing structures. Collaborate with the Purchasing team to optimize costs without compromising on quality.
  • Expedites deliveries as necessary to maximize customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
  • Forecasts the purchasing needs.
  • Supplier Relationship management. Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Supply chain collaboration. Work closely with the logistics and operations team to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration or related field.
  • 3-5 years of purchasing experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP Systems
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to details and follow up.
  • Proactive attitude to highlight and address issues as they arise.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
