In this role, you'll get to:

  • Program 2-axis and multi-axis Doosan Lathes using the latest Fusion 360 or Mastercam software.
  • Set up high-tech Doosan Lynx LYC and LSYB multi-axis turning centers, ensuring they run seamlessly.
  • Collaborate with a fantastic team, sharing your expertise to train others on machine operation and perform top-notch quality inspections.

Responsibilities:

As a lead member of our Lathe Department, your duties will include:

  • Independently programming and setting up 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathe machines.
  • Working with Quality Control to produce in-process inspection documents.
  • Performing first article inspections of parts from new setups and teaching operators how to inspect.
  • Reading blueprints and understanding geometric tolerances.
  • Setting up and operating automated bar feeder systems.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
  • Maintenance knowledge for Doosan and Haas equipment is a plus.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Trade School or College program relevant to this job is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience programming CNC Lathe machines.
  • Proficient in programming using Fusion 360 or Mastercam software or similar.
  • Ability to perform mechanical inspections using precision benchtop tools. Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is a plus.
  • Physical capacity to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to commute to Fairfield,  NJ

Nice to Have:

  • The ability to obtain a security clearance.
