POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an engaging, team-oriented individual to take on proposal writing assistant and business development communication tasks for our Centennial office location. This person must have the willingness to learn introductory steps to marketing professional civil engineering services, as well as strong written and critical thinking skills, attention to every little detail, and excellent time management/organizational skills. This position can be part time (20-30 hours/week) and work toward full time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, some responsibilities will include:

  •  Proposal Creation  

    • Collaborate content and production of proposals, including final review, assembly and submission of final product.
    • Create and execute a tailored plan for each new proposal or presentation.
    • With minimal oversight, execute the creation and assembly of a professional proposal response that is informative, aesthetically pleasing, and meets all requirements of the RFP.
    • Generate custom copy to meet the specific requirements of each new RFP.
    • Gather and organize data from Project Managers and tenaciously pursue information.
    • Ensure the final product is clean, professional, and delivered prior to the RFP deadline.

  • Marketing Activities

    • Update and proofread marketing material database: proposal pursuit tracking, completed project summary sheet development, staff resume updates, subconsultant files, and proposal boilerplate materials
    • Research, plan and prepare award submissions for national and regional recognition.
    • Participate in other marketing activities that involve written communications, including social media posts, website updates, conference/career fair attendance, community outreach activities, etc.
    • Special projects: coordinate project photos and/or headshots, update mailing lists, archive expired materials, assist with annual company events, and prepare marketing materials/supplies for conferences
    • Perform various administrative duties and other marketing tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year college degree, preferably in English, Communications, or Journalism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills illustrated through past experience in a previous administrative, writing, or marketing position.
  • Skilled in absorbing technical and industry information in order to produce written materials suitable for a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills, with a high degree of accountability and responsibility.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe InDesign. Prior experience using Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Above average organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. Prior proposal experience a plus; AEC industry experience a plus; minor graphic design/layout skills a plus.
  • Must manage time effectively, and if necessary, work flexible hours to meet RFP deadlines.
  • Exercise good judgement to reflect the company brand, style and policy

  • We are conveniently located in Centennial, CO on the west side of I-25 between Arapahoe Rd and Dry Creek Rd.
  • Full time employment salary range for this position is $30k to $60k, dependent on experience - part time wage is negotiable and all inquiries will be handled confidentially.
