Architectural Drafter

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Architectural Drafter who will create detailed technical drawings and plans for building and construction purposes, utilizing their skills in CAD, drafting, design, and architectural codes and conventions. The successful candidate will work alongside architects and engineers, contributing to the design process and ensuring the production of high-quality detailed plans. Multifamily experience is a must for this role with a minimum of 5 years to reflect proficiency in utilizing Revit for this type of drafting.

Responsibilities:

1. Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM software to prepare architectural drawings and designs from preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets, and other data.

2. Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to understand project requirements, provide design support, and develop detailed and accurate architectural drawings.

3. Ensure designs are in compliance with local and state building codes, ADA requirements, and other applicable regulations.

4. Detail the size, shape, and structure of various architectural components and materials in blueprints.

5. Prepare different versions of designs for review by clients, architects, and engineers.

6. Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in compliance with the quality control processes.

7. Visit construction sites when necessary to gather measurements and other pertinent data for drafting.

8. Maintain organized and updated digital and hardcopy archives of all drawings.

9. Stay current on industry advancements, architectural trends, and relevant software to enhance skills and output quality.

Qualifications:

1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, or related field.

2. Proven experience as an Architectural Drafter, specifically within the mid & high-rise sector of multifamily residential and commercial projects.

3. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM software, along with standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite.

4. Familiarity with construction methods and the integration of architectural and engineering systems in high-rise buildings.

5. Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, ADA guidelines, and other pertinent regulations.

6. Strong technical drawing skills, attention to detail, and precision.

7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively within a team setting.

8. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines while maintaining quality.

9. Capability to visit project sites, take measurements, and incorporate site-specific data into architectural drafts.

10. LEED AP or similar accreditation would be a plus.
