Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and oversee accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the company's annual budget and financial forecasts. Monitor performance against budget and analyze variances.

  • Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately.

  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax requirements. Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.

  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function. Evaluate and recommend financial systems and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
