Job Summary:

The Machinist will be responsible for programming, set-up and operation of CNC mills. Experience with

Haas EC 400 and Haas UMC 750 is a must.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Preferred

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Mastercam programming of machines

· Operate controls and functions of CNC Mills - HAAS EC 400/ HAAS

· Set up CNC machines and machines the parts to customer’s specifications.

· Run multiple machines as needed. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.

· Troubleshoot for loading and unloading parts.

· Read blueprints/drawings to determine specifications and dimensions.

· Inspect parts per print.

· Clean and maintain machining equipment.

· Ensure all work orders are signed off and inspections are complete.

· Promote a positive team environment by following all company and safety policies.

· At all times project a favorable image of the organization.

· Follow the organization’s grooming and dress standards.

· Keep the Department Lead promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

· Perform all duties and responsibilities asked of you in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.

· Perform any other job duties as requested by the Department Lead or Management.

· Ability to operate a forklift or other powered devices needed for moving material and maintain certification.

· Loads and unloads materials into or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.

· Lifts heavy objects by hand or with appropriate lifting support

· Maintains inventory.

· Keep work areas and spaces clean.

· Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Mastercam Programming

· Haas EC 400 and Haas UMC 750

· Ability to maintain basic logs and records.

· Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.

· Able to remain professional and courteous always.

· Ability to adapt and work in a very fast paced environment

 

Education and Experience:

· Minimum 5 years experience in Metal Fabrication

· Forklift certification

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in written in English.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift to 50 pounds regularly.

Pay and Compensation: $35/hr- $45/hr Programmer and Set Up Experience

Base Compensation; Based on Experience
