Geo Owl is currently looking for a motivated and qualified Senior Data Scientist to support our government contract opportunity. To be qualified, you need knowledge of government intelligence agency structure and defense-level intelligence, including intelligence collection, fusion, analysis, production, and dissemination for intelligence databases and products. Location: Springfield, VA

Clearance: TS/SCI

Requirements: Must meet all the requirements listed below.

  • ​​​​​At least 12 years of experience in data science, analytics, or quantitative intelligence analysis, demonstrating progressive technical development and successful outcomes. A Bachelor's degree is the minimum required. (Refer to the education requirements section for details on minimum years of experience required.)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as R or Python.
  • Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of analysts, engineers, and developers to conduct research and develop complex yet user-friendly algorithms and analytical platforms.
  • Prior experience in research and development within data analytics.
  • Demonstrated history of active learning and innovative problem-solving.
  • Ability to evaluate software development or data acquisition needs and determine the most effective, cost-efficient solutions.
 

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience with MASINT, GEOINT, SIGINT, and other intel-related disciplines.
  • Former intelligence community experience.

Education Requirements:

  • MA or MS in Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field AND 10 years CURRENT data Analysis experience.
  • BA or BS in Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field AND 12  years CURRENT data Analysis experience.
