Reports to: Director of Development, TeamMates Mentoring Program
Location: TeamMates Mentoring Program National Office (Lincoln, NE)
Basic Function and Responsibility: This intern position would support the Development team in the planning, preparation, and execution of the organization’s fund-raising events numerous events, as well as events to honor our mentees and mentors.
Qualifications:
- Must be a student pursuing a post-secondary education in the Lincoln area.
- Must have passion for youth, education, and community
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and high ethical standard
- Ability to pass a criminal and Health and Human Service background checks

- Desire and willingness to learn new skills, systems, and information
- Analytic and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with fellow staff members
- Strong technical skills with the computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, social media, and e-mail

- Effective oral and written communication skills and good listening skills
- Ability to work under time constrains in a timely and orderly manner
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and organizes work to meet deadlines
- High-level customer service skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning, invitations, mailing lists, registration, name tags, programs, scripting, logistics, customer service and marketing materials for 3-4 major TeamMates Mentoring Fundraising events.
- Set up, tear down, and steward donors and attendees for each event.
- Post-event stewardship for all those that were invited and/or attended
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions: Flexible part-time work schedule with the ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time at the TeamMates National Office Lincoln, Nebraska location.
