HIVIZ is a leading metal injection molding manufacturer in Laramie, WY. We are looking to attract the right team member who may be looking for a change of pace. The average commute here is 10 minutes and we are just 34 miles from the Snowy Range Ski Area. Wherever you go in a 20-30 miles radius of Laramie, you will enjoy wide open spaces with very few people. We also enjoy the ability to access bigger city events and amenities in Denver, CO and the Front Range which is all within a quick drive of less than 130 miles.

This is a full-time, benefited, hands-on position that focuses on daily operations in a positive, safe, and clean working environment. We are hiring for individuals that fit our values of: Safety, Excellence, Humility, Team Focused, and Trustworthiness.

We will help with relocation expenses for the right individual. 

The Mold Maker will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining metal injection molds in our in-house tool room. We are looking for an individual with injection mold making experience and will consider a combination of formalized education in machine tool technology, and/or someone who has completed an injection mold apprenticeship with years of precision machining experience setting up, troubleshooting and operating CNC milling machines.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 3 years of the experience described above and the ability to use tool room equipment such as CNC milling machines and grinders with little to no training
• Experience with wire and/or sinker EDM
• Must have experience working on injection molds with tight tolerance parts
• Ability to work with precision and accuracy to meet tight tolerances and quality requirements

• Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tool selection, and machining parameters.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), and quality specifications.

• Ability to work within our value system as noted above
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Experience programming in Mastercam would be a preferred qualification.
