VP of Engineering

We are seeking a talented and experienced VP of Engineering with a strong background in software development, dev ops, and blockchain programming. The ideal candidate will play a key role in further designing, developing, and implementing IPFS-based solutions, as well as integrating them with our existing blockchain platform. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and work on groundbreaking projects that have the potential to reshape the future of the internet. To date we have successfully released to the public both a consumer and enterprise-level web3 cloud storage product.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (5 years +) working as a software engineer with a focus on decentralized technologies, including IPFS and blockchain.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go, JavaScript, or Rust.
- In-depth understanding of IPFS architecture, protocols, and data structures.
- Experience with blockchain platforms and smart contract development (e.g., Ethereum Solidity).
- Familiarity with crypto/ blockchain deployments and protocols (e.g., encryption, digital signatures).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues from diverse technical backgrounds.
- Passion for decentralized technologies and a desire to make a meaningful impact on the future of the internet.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience contributing to open-source projects related to IPFS or blockchain technologies.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience deploying and managing distributed systems in production environments.
- Experience with other decentralized storage solutions (e.g., Filecon, Storj, Flux, Sia).
- Contributions to the IPFS or blockchain communities through research publications, conference presentations, or participation in relevant forums and meetups.
