In this role you will:
- Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures.
- Assist with stereotactic biopsies
- Monitor inventory levels and facilitate supply orders.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, tact, and courtesy, while explaining procedures to patients to alleviate anxieties and encourage cooperation.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, the portion of the body involved, and the degree of penetration required.
- Adjust imaging equipment to ensure accurate and detailed images.
- Process and review images for proper identification and quality control.
- Implement radiation protection techniques to safeguard patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports of procedures performed.
- Provide orientation and training to new team members.
- Perform additional duties as required.
We require:
- Licensed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Minimum of three (3) years of continuous experience in Mammography
- Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Good computer knowledge.
- Bi-lingual, English/Spanish a plus.
