Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary: The X-ray Tech/MA will be responsible for performing X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring accurate and efficient procedures. They will also assist with various medical administrative tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- X-ray Procedures:
- Prepare patients for X-ray examinations.
- Operate X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality images.
- Position patients correctly for various X-ray studies.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Medical Administration:
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Prepare and maintain patient charts.
- Schedule appointments and answer phone calls.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
- Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation safety standards.
- Participate in quality control procedures to ensure equipment accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent certification.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Experience:
- Previous experience as an X-ray technician preferred.
- Experience in a medical office setting is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and computer systems.
Working Conditions:
- May be exposed to radiation and hazardous materials.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects.
- May work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
