Job Summary: The X-ray Tech/MA will be responsible for performing X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring accurate and efficient procedures. They will also assist with various medical administrative tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • X-ray Procedures:
    • Prepare patients for X-ray examinations.
    • Operate X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality images.
    • Position patients correctly for various X-ray studies.
    • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Medical Administration:
    • Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
    • Prepare and maintain patient charts.
    • Schedule appointments and answer phone calls.
    • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation safety standards.
    • Participate in quality control procedures to ensure equipment accuracy.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent certification.
    • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
    • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience as an X-ray technician preferred.
    • Experience in a medical office setting is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficiency in medical terminology and computer systems.

Working Conditions:

  • May be exposed to radiation and hazardous materials.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects.
  • May work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
