Job DescriptionJob Description

The Member Support Professional role is crucial in developing independence, building confidence, and supporting our Members towards living a full and meaningful life. The position will support adults 18+ with a variety of disabilities. This role will be part time on 3 Wednesdays each month from 4-6pm and Fridays from 5-9 PM or 6-9 PM, depending on the week.

In this role the Member Support Professional you will:

  • Implement Members’ individual service plans based on needs and goals, and record daily progress, for Community-Based Day Support and Employment Support services
  • Promote community involvement and safety
  • Facilitate activities related to members' pathways to employment
  • Teach Members how to manage activities of daily living such as cleaning, cooking, shopping, budgeting, personal hygiene, health care practices, money management, traveling, self-control and leisure time
  • Identify areas of crisis and defuse the situation, ensuring the safety of all concerned
  • Administer medication according to MAP regulations, as applicable
  • Assist members physically as needed
  • Transport Members to community activities or employment opportunities as necessary
