Job DescriptionJob Description

Orange County based manufacturer has immediate openings in its vacuum coating thin film department.

 

Coating Technician

 

Individual who has a good understanding of vacuum coating chambers, using an E-beam or Resistance, and IAD coating processes.

Operate chambers to deposit multilayer thin film optical coatings.

Maintain coating equipment and cable of performing maintenance maintaining downtime and PM charts.

Understanding of tooling and design principals.

Coating design knowledge

Responsibilities and duties:

-Operate thin film coating chambers in auto or manual modes

-Clean, load and inspect parts both before and after deposition process.

-Set-up coating chamber and processes.

-Troubleshoot problems in vacuum coating process equipment, RGA knowledge, work with Cryo systems and mechanical pumps a plus

-Perform multilayer coatings. Record process guidelines for each layer.

-Maintain detailed and accurate process records along with maintenance records in real time.

-Use Spectrophotometer to measure coatings

-Clean chambers and all related equipment.

- Inspect and Package coated parts

-Proficiency in Microsoft word and excel

-Strong work ethic and attention to details

-Ability to work overtime as needed (weekdays and weekends)

 

Pay based on experience $35-40 an hour
