Job Summary:

 

The On-the-Road Auto Parts Salesperson will be responsible for generating sales and fostering strong relationships with existing and potential customers within an assigned territory. This role involves traveling to various locations, understanding customer needs, and offering tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets. Territory is western Suffolk County.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Business Development:

    • Identify and target potential customers, including auto repair shops, dealerships, and retail stores.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.

    • Conduct regular sales visits to customers within the assigned territory.

    • Present, promote, and sell auto parts products to meet or exceed sales targets.

  2. Customer Service:

    • Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and offering appropriate solutions.

    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.

    • Ensure timely delivery of products and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.

  3. Product Knowledge and Training:

    • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, including features, benefits, and applications of various auto parts.

    • Educate customers on new products, promotions, and industry trends.

    • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions as needed.

  4. Sales Reporting and Administration:

    • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including activity logs, sales forecasts, and expense reports.

    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales transactions, and inventory levels.

    • Collaborate with the sales manager and team to develop sales strategies and achieve company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the auto parts industry.

  • Strong understanding of auto parts and automotive systems.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in automotive technology or business is a plus.

  • BILINGUAL A MUST

  • A clean drivers license a must.
