Job Title: Certified GI Coder/Biller

Job Summary:

The Certified GI Coder/Biller under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM) will be responsible for all aspects of accounts receivables.

Reports To: Revenue Cycle Manager

Supervises: None

Classification: Non-Exempt

Location: Miami, FL

Qualifications:

  • Certified GI Coder required
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in insurance coding and billing required.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications required which include Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Office Environment

Responsibilities:

  • Making sure that codes are assigned correctly and sequenced appropriately as per government and insurance regulations
  • Complying with medical coding guidelines and policies
  • Receiving and reviewing patients’ charts and documents for verification and accuracy
  • Following up and clarifying any information that is not clear to other staff members
  • Collecting information made by the Physician from different sources to prepare claims
  • Interacts with others (co-employees, management, physicians, patients, visitors, vendors) in a professional and tactful manner including treating them with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.
