Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Software Engineer position for a manufacturing company located in San Clemente California.

The candidate should possess a strong understanding of software development needs regarding both

control systems and business processes in a manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will be

familiar with multiple programming languages, including C# and SQL, and will be able to assess the best

solution for particular needs.

Job Duties

·        Develop and maintain system software for complex, multi-threaded automation platforms

·        Develop and maintain software for SQL/ProvideX databases and MRP systems

·        Develop ladder logic for PLC controllers

·        Suggest and design custom software tools for engineering and manufacturing

·        Development and troubleshooting of electrical systems, as it pertains to SW functionality

·        Hands-on setup/troubleshooting of mechanical systems, as it pertains to SW functionality

·        Follow, execute, and develop detailed written procedures

·        Works within an ISO9001 based Quality Management System

·        Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications, Credentials, and Education

·        BS in Computer Science, an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience

·        Minimum of 3 years of related system level software development

·        Strong background in mathematics/physics

·        Proficient with C# and structured programming

·        Ability to multitask

·        Work effectively without direct supervision

·        Good communication skills with fluency in compositional and conversational English

·        US Person as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 (Citizen, Permanent Resident)

Preferred Experience

·        Experience in a manufacturing environment

·        Knowledge of controls systems (e.g. PLCs), PID tuning, etc

·        Knowledge of thin film optics - theory or manufacture

·        Knowledge of Vacuum systems

·        Familiarity with SPC, Six Sigma, other process control

·        Familiarity with the programming and troubleshooting of control systems

·        Critical thinking and resolves issues

Desired Experience/Other Qualifications

·        Ability to work under timelines and pressure

·        Strong computer and computer application skills

·        Knowledge of network infrastructures

·        Excellent attention to detail
