Staff Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description One of the country's fastest growing and most prominent real estate investment, development, and property management firms is seeking a Staff Accountant. This 200+ employee organization has excellent benefits, including 100% paid employee-only healthcare Salary range goes up to $80K, plus an annual bonus, 8:30-5:00 hours, and hybrid work (1 day from home per week).

Staff Accountant Duties
Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Post journal entries, including month-end accruals and prepaids, and maintain account reconciliations.
Prepare internal invoices, verify expenses, and ensure proper documentation and coding.
Assist with daily cash transactions, treasury functions, and prepare bank reconciliations.
Collaborate with other departments for accurate financial reporting.
Meet with property accountants and asset management teams to discuss financial performance.
Analyze financial data for variances and provide insights to operations.
Assist with complex accounting tasks and issues.
Develop and refine accounting policies and procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
Address financial queries from various management levels.
Participate in system testing, implementation, and data validation during financial record conversions.
Respond to external audit requests.
Ensure timely filing and payment of taxes and licenses.
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.

Staff Accountant Qualifications:
Accounting Degree, CPA or CPA candidate preferred
1+ year of corporate accounting or public accounting experience
