Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic
Phoenix, AZ
Direct Hire
Salary: $62,000 to $85,000 annual salary

The A&P Mechanic is responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight school aircraft. The mechanic must ensure that all work is completed in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical data such as maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations relating to Title 14 parts 43 and 91.
  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts as needed.


REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION

  • Airframe and Powerplant license is required at the time of hire.
  • Must be able to obtain Inspection Authorization within three months of hire.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of three recent and consecutive years of GA experience as a certificated A&P.
  • Experience on Piper aircraft is preferred.
  • G1000 experience is a plus.
