JOB# 996 Injection Molding Operator

 

Location: Gainesville, TX

Pay: $15.50/Hr

Shift: 3pm - 11pm M-F

Duties:
1) Sets up operates injection-molding machines to cast products from thermoplastic materials.

2) Installs dies on machine, according to work order specifications, using clamps, bolts and hand tools.

3) Sets machine controls, regulating molding temperature, volume of plastic, molding pressure & time, according to knowledge of plastics molding procedures.

4) Dumps premixed plastic powders or pellets into hopper, and starts machine.

5) Pulls lever to close dies inject plastic into dies to cast part.

6) Removes finished product from dies, using handtools.

7) Trims excess material from part, using knife.

8) May mix thermoplastic materials coloring pigments in mixing machine, according to formula.

9) May grind scrap plastic into powder for reuse..
