Job DescriptionJob Description

dentify and repair mechanical problems on all production equipment in assigned areas including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment repairs, troubleshooting, cleaning, and installations to ensure the maximum uptime on all equipment in all the different departments.

 

  • Perform corrective maintenance when needed.
  • Repair or replace pumps, gearboxes, piping, packing, and hydraulics.
  • Rewire motors and perform basic electrical work.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel on special fabrication or construction projects.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times.



Work Experience

The preferred candidate might:

  • 2 or more years in industrial maintenance.
  • Experience in operating a forklift.
  • Ability to use a cutting torch and stick welder.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Fabrication experience.
  • Experience in technical areas including machine shop operations, welding, basic electrical practices, fluid power, pneumatics, and pipefitting.
  • Capable of reading machine drawings and any instruments that measure in thousandths of an inch (e.g. micrometer, calipers, depth mikes).
  • Strong math skills
  • Able to communicate with all levels internally and externally.
  • Able to exercise good judgment on highly complex situations.
