Direct opportunity for a Factory Accountant. Hybrid work schedule.

As a Factory Accountant, you will be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting and cost accounting. This position will be instrumental in maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Factory Accountant addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities.

OVEVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
• Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
• Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
• Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
• Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment availability, and utilization.
• Perform month-end cost accounting close.
• Maintain and improve processes to handle inventory and cost.
• Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.
• Facilitate process improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with manufacturing cost accounting is essential.
• Knowledge of J-SOX is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
