Description of Role:

Seeking a financial analyst who will assist in making informed investment decisions1. Analyzing financial data, market trends, and investment opportunities to spot patterns, assess risks, and make predictions and recommendations.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs advanced financial analysis. Work involves reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating financial data; preparing reports and responding to inquiries; forecasting financial results.
  • Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using various assumptions for sources of revenues, grant disbursements and fund balance categories.
  • Prepare Monthly Cash Flow Forecast. Compile and analyze monthly operational cash flow forecasts. Based on financial institution, investment cost basis and statements. 
  • Review monthly and quarterly investments portfolio reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed long-term financial forecasts and fund balances. As requested, analyze multi-scenario long-range revenue forecasts, grant funding program mix and segregated restricted, committed, and assigned fund balances in quarterly, annual, and bi-annual increments. Update underlying assumptions as needed. Combine both Supreme Court and Foundation forecasts into summary statement of activities with roll forward of fund balances.
  • Assist in compilation of Board and Finance Committee reports and materials, including financial statements and budget to actual with notes on variances.
  • Review and approve review reports and related audit reports.
  • Prepare specialized financial reports as requested or needed.

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience in financial analysis and regulatory work. 
  • Bachelor's Degree - accounting, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field is generally preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial analyses and nonprofit accounting, terminology and practices.
  • Microsoft Office with Proficient knowledge in Excel.

 

Work Schedule:

Flexible, 20 hours a week between the hours of Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
