Position: Independent Contractor Tax Consultant
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for all walks of life, high-net-worth individuals and businesses
- Provide expert tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities
- Stay current with tax laws and regulations
- Conduct research on complex tax issues
- Interact professionally with clients, addressing their questions and concerns
- Collaborate with team members on challenging cases
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Qualifications:
- No experience necessary
- CPA, EA, or relevant tax preparation experience a plus but not required (we also welcome motivated newcomers to the industry)
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws a plus but not required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in tax preparation software a plus but not required (training provided for our specific systems)
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with all walks of life, high-net-worth clients or complex tax situations
- Advanced degrees in Accounting, Taxation, or related fields
- Proficiency in multiple languages
