Senior Linux & Microsoft Engineer - Orange County or Los Angeles County

We're seeking a motivated Linux & Microsoft skilled Support Engineer to provide technical support to our clients in the Orange County, Los Angeles area. This is combination of remote and on-site work.

We are: Abtech Technologies has offices in both San Diego and Santa Fe Springs, CA; 50 employees and have been in business for 35 years, performing IT support. we have 28 W2 engineers in the company.

Technical Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Linux Systems Administration, Servers
  • Storage (deploying, configuring, troubleshooting)
  • Networking
  • Virtualization, Containerization, Clusters
  • Scripting and Automation
  • Monitoring, Logging, Performance Analysis
  • Client Engagement
  • On-Site Support
  • Project Management
  • Expert Level, Advanced Troubleshooting

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Federation level Microsoft capabilities
  • Federation level Active Directory capabilities
  • Microsoft Exchange management
  • O365, Azure management capabilities
  • Project development and management at an executive level
  • Best practices IT Security
  • VMware datacenter design and management
  • Change Management
  • High end troubleshooting capabilities

Preferred Requirements:

  • Cisco certified network professional
  • VMware certified (VCAP)
  • Minimum 15 years of Linux system administration experience
  • Strong proficiency in Linux distributions and related technologies
