We are a small landscaping company providing services for residential clients in the Chapel Hill, Pittsboro, and Durham areas. We specialize in garden bed design, installation and maintenance. We are looking for a landscaping crew member to join our team. The majority of the work will be manual labor, including weeding, pruning, digging and mulching.

We are looking for someone who is interested in plants and enjoys working outside. The ideal candidate is motivated to work hard, is responsible and can work independently and as part of a small team. Candidates experienced in landscaping and those who have plant knowledge are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

The hourly pay is negotiable based on experience.

We offer competitive weekly pay, a flexible schedule (typically 8am-2pm in summer & 9am-3pm in winter, with additional hours during our busy season if desired), & year-round employment with no required weekends or overtime.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers

- Maintain garden beds including weeding using hand tools

- Pruning/trimming of trees and shrubs

- Blowing and raking of leaves and brush cleanup

- Mulching


Qualifications:

- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or related field &/or plant care knowledge preferred

- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

-  Reliable transportation to work - must be able to drive between client sites during the workday (typically 1 - 2 sites/day)

- Ability to bend, reach and lift 40+ lbs occasionally, push wheelbarrows, and be on your feet most of the day 

- Punctual and reliable

- Good communication skills

 

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

 

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
