Job DescriptionJob Description

CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Staff Accountant for a non-profit client in Fort Worth, TX. As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for entering donations into the fundraising software, ensuring accuracy of all donor and pledge data in the accounting system, performing reconciliations, and recording journal entries amongst other duties. Qualified candidates will have their Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of Accounting experience or have additional years of work history in lieu of degree along with being detailed oriented, having strong attention to detail, and being advanced in Excel using pivot tables and v-lookups. Requirements and Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred, but additional work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of Accounting experience with strong experience performing accounting reconciliations
  • Non-profit accounting experience entering donor pledges into the fundraising software is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills including use of pivot tables and v-lookups
  • Experience creating journal entries and assisting with other accounting duties
  • Ability to learn new software and processes quickly

 

Compensation for the Staff Accountant:

  • Temp-to-hire, direct hire possible for the right candidate
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday some flexibility available
  • Location: On-site until training is complete then hybrid schedule is available
  • Pay: $60-69K/year (based on experience)
  • Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401K with up to 8% match, PTO, sick time, paid holidays, community service hours, parental leave, and more
