We are seeking a Crisis Clinician to join our team You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients. In general, under the direct supervision of the immediate supervisor or clinical manager, the individual is responsible for providing community/facility based Crisis services that are aimed at the prevention, intervention, and immediate stabilization of Crisis events experienced by MH/DD/SA consumers or consumers experiencing emotional distress in response to a Crisis. Examples of Crisis services shall include community Crisis response and Crisis prevention/intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical field familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skill ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications for Crisis Counselor II
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a four-year college or university in a human services field; and two years of related experience with the MH/SA population.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a four-year college or university in a non-human services field; and four years of related experience with the MH/SA population.
- Must meet the NC Division of MH/DD/SA requirement for a Qualified Professional.
Qualifications for Crisis Clinician II
- Master’s degree from a four-year college or university in a human services field; and two years of related experience with the MH/SA population.
- Must possess valid clinical licensure such as Associate (provisional) licensure such as LCSW-A, LCAS-A, LPC-A, LMFT-A, etc.
Qualifications for Crisis Clinician III
- Master’s degree from a four-year college or university in a human services field; and two years of related experience with the MH/SA population.
- Must possess a valid clinical licensure LCSW, LCAS, LPC, LMFT, etc. (preference will be given to LCSW and/or LCAS due to the need for IVC requirements)
