About us

Alliance Pharmacy and Wellness is an independent pharmacy located inside a non-profit clinic. In collaboration with the clinic, we provide service to the underserved community of Virginia beach.

The Pharmacy Manager will oversee the overall management of the Pharmacy and the staff’s completion of professional assignments. The Pharmacy Manager will direct high quality pharmacy services and provide medical supplies to customers and patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and laws regulating pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff
- Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of medications
- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Conduct patient assessments and provide counseling on medication use and potential side effects
- Utilize medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or BS in Pharmacy
  • Current applicable home state licensure as a registered Pharmacist
  • Minimum 3 years’ pharmacy manager experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary in interactions with patients, clients, management and staff
  • Excellent planning, problem solving, organizational, time management and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Job Type: Full Time

Expected hours: 40 per week
